Palm Beach Table

The three amigos are back with another amazing tablescape and this time in the dreamiest location Palm Beach, Florida. For those of you that are new to my blog, I had the opportunity to team up with three other talented ladies that I met through the Southern C Summit. I’m lucky to call these girls my dear friends. We all share the same interests so this collaboration just felt natural and easy.

Before I dive on in, I wanted to re-introduce them to you. Paige of, The Pink Clutch Blog, and I met actually before the Southern C Summit in Atlanta at Market two years ago. She was drawn to my booth because of her love for palm prints and pink gingham. We instantly hit it off and have been friends ever since. She is a lifestyle blogger, mother of three precious children, a wife and lover of all things happy and preppy. She loves a great estate sale, like me, and can decorate a room and transform it into a colorful oasis. She has a passion for a great tabletop and probably has a collection of beautiful table finds larger than mine.

Mary of, Mrs. Southern Social, and I met at the Southern C this year and I was attracted to her hilarious sense of humor and her confidence. As we got to chatting, she realized I was Caroline from Sweet Caroline Designs and figured out that she had purchased several of my planners and gifts. Such a small world it is! She is a wife, mother of 2 adorable kids, owns an event planning business called Please Be Seated, and is a master delegator. She knows all the best, latest and greatest trends out there and has exceptional taste. Last but not least our photographer, Andrea Kinnear was the icing on the cake. She was at the Southern C Summit and took our pictures while we were in Charleston. We loved her style and we all worked really well together so we asked her travel with us. Naturally this began as a work trip but turned into a really fun girls trip too! I think this is the definition of DREAM TEAM.

Now that all the introductions are done, let’s get to it! About 2 weeks ago, we all traveled to Palm Beach to work with some really amazing brands and create this summer time inspired tabletop. Of course it had to be pink and green because we were in Palm Beach. When I close my eyes and dream of Palm Beach I think of lush, green palms, pink buildings, Chippendale patterns, rattan furniture and the beach. This table was that and everything more. Paige happens to know pretty much everyone and had a friend that was willing to let us shoot this table right on their beach front property. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

We are all kind of obsessed with everything India Amory right now and this tablecloth was perfect. If you don’t know about her you should. She creates beautiful napkins, tablecloths and more. I think the tablecloth always sets the tone of the table. It lays the backdrop or the setting. Sorry, I will be saying tabletop and tablescape a lot in this post. You can get this sweet pink one we used here. For the salad plates, we were lucky enough that Paige has an amazing collection of these beautiful antique Minton Cockatrice Green Salad Plates. I love all the pink and green detail and the vintage vibe they give off. I love mixing old with new because it has more of a collected feel and doesn’t look like everything was bought at a store and moved to your home. Also I will let you know that Paige managed to fly with these in her luggage along with lots of other items we used. The TSA was probably like, lady what are you doing with all these plates, linens and flatware in your suitcase? It was definitely worth it! What I love about creating tables is that even though you purchase new items from time to time to create your look, you are investing in pieces that you can use again and again all different kinds of ways.

For the dinner plate, we used these cute melamine bamboo ones here. I love using melamine in the summertime. It’s easy and they are not breakable. I also love this option too for a more formal setting. These are glass and pretty too. You can get the same look either way. For the chargers, Paige also already owned these amazing rattan ones from Pottery Barn a few years back. I’m so sad they don’t make them anymore! But lucky for you, we found some that are pretty similar here. For the napkins, Paige decided to splurge and get these pink scalloped napkins trimmed in white. She added a fabulous monogram on them in pink and green. I’m honestly really jealous that she got to get these napkins for the table. They are BEAUTIFUL! And I am a sucker for a great fancy monogram. You can get them here. We used shell napkin rings to complete our beach side look. For the flatware we found these amazing wicker ones here. I love the bamboo trend and have a set of those but I love that these wicker ones are different. For the glassware we went with a green glass. I think doing a color just adds a pop to the table. I’m all about more patterns and color these days. These glasses we used are old but I linked similar ones here. For the side dish or tidbit dish, which could be used for bread and butter, sauce, appetizers or a coaster we used these green lettuce dishes from here. These also come in salad and dinner plates and I want the whole set one day!

What table would be complete with out the paper goods? We added these amazing menu cards here, which I designed and created to match our lovely tabletop. I will be talking more in detail about this new Palm Beach Paper Collection later this week but it is available for purchase now on sweetcarolinedesigns.com. It features several invitations, envelope liners, gift tags, calling cards, return stickers and notepads. You will want one of each, please! For a different place card setting, we decided to use cookies as the place card markers. We tied these tags on the cookies with each persons name on them. The cookies are precious and are Lilly Pulitzer Shift Dresses! How fitting for Palm Beach. They were made by The Highland Park Pie Lady and were delicious!

For the flowers, we purchased the vases from Amanda Lindroth. They are the Natural Island Wrapped Hurricanes. They come in lots of sizes. Amanda has a store in Palm Beach so definitely visit if you go. She has the coolest shop with a beachy, relaxed island flair. You can find these ones here. We used a local florist, OAPB Exotic Floral Design, to create our Palm Beach Look. The florist used local finds, fresh peonies, shades of pink roses and green hydrangeas. We rented the bamboo folding chairs from a local event rental company but you can purchase these here or rent them.

We were pretty lucky to have this ocean backdrop, which made me feel like I was dining at Lilly Pulitzer’s home back in the 60s or 70s. I love how Palm Beach has a retro vibe. It’s a pretty special place.

For our outfits, it was fitting to wear pink or green. We all chose pink because duh, it’s our favorite color. I had an opportunity to collaborate with Lilly Pulitzer and I chose this ADORABLE pink gingham dress. Anything pink or gingham sign me up. It fit perfectly, which never happens because I am petite and this dress fit like a glove. It’s perfect for a summer wedding or cocktail party. For size reference, I am 5 feet tall and wearing a 00. You can get it here. Also I picked these matching pink gingham heels. I just about died when I saw these! I am wearing a size 6 and I think they run pretty TTS. My earrings are gold palm leaves, by Hunter Blake Designs and you can find them here.

Paige is wearing Elizabeth Wilson Designs. This pink and white striped dress is so palm-beachy! I love the bow detail on the sleeve. Our dear friend, Elizabeth Wilson, made this dress. She designs and makes the cutest clothes. She is known for her overstated ruffle collars, which I love! Mary is also wearing Lilly Pulitzer. Did you know her crochet dress is also a romper? I think this pink and white option is perfect for a summer party as well. She paired it with the same matching pink gingham heels. Shoe twins!!

It was such a treat to work again with these lovely ladies doing what we LOVE. I hope y’all enjoy our Palm Beach inspired tablescape as much as we do. We look forward to bringing you more table designs in the future. This one though, will be hard to top. Pink and green is so me and right up my alley! My first time in Palm Beach did not disappoint and I can’t wait to share more of our trip through out the week. Happy Tuesday Friends!!
