Favorite and Most Used Product from Serena and Lily
My kitchen is not only my favorite room in the house but also probably, if not the most used. I couldn’t tell you how many countless hours we have spent in our kitchen. We love to cook and eat in about 5-6 nights a week plus I bake ALL THE TIME. Which leads me to my next topic, our bar stools from Serena and Lily which are probably our most used pieces of furniture in our home.
We have had them for over 3 years now and I’m here to tell you that they are worth every penny and still look brand new. I’m actually sitting in one of them writing this post. I get asked a lot about my kitchen and these stools. I love the white. I know a lot of people are scared of white with kids but I think we have tested that and with Mignonne and Margot, neither one of them have ruined them or even made them look used.
They have held their shape too and are also very comfortable. I know it sounds like I am trying to sell you on them however I really do love them and wouldn’t be telling you how much we love them if we really didn’t. I love how they are relaxed and bring a different texture to our kitchen. You know I am a big fan of mixing old and new so they were the perfect blend. These stools were actually one of my first purchases when we built our home about 3 years ago. I love how light and airy they make the space feel.
This Rivera bar and counter stool comes in several colors. Loving the navy and white combo and the black is very chic. The stools are like a classic Parisian bistro chair but reinvented. The rattan is bent and shaped by hand until the iconic shape is achieved. The seats are woven from the finest quality rattan and lightweight resin making them super family friendly and inviting.
The Rivera Collection is actually one of my most favorite collections on the Serena and Lily website. Love the chairs for dining as well. They also have a complete Rivera Collection that is specifically for outdoor use. I actually just ordered the outdoor Rivera chairs for our back patio and I cannot wait for them to arrive. You simply cannot go wrong with any of these pieces.
To preserve the beauty of the frame I would definitely find them a place indoors to prevent exposure to inclement weather. To clean, you can simply just use water and a soft damp cloth. Trust me, Mignonne has had her fair share of spills and accidents and they still look brand new. If a toddler cannot destroy them, then I don’t think anything can. To get the full details on how to take care of your stools you can look here.
These chairs have seen a lot of happy occasions. From birthdays to holidays, friends over to play, they have been through a lot and everyone compliments them and always tells me how comfortable they are.
Mignonne also loves using this stool when she is helping me bake or cook. It’s the perfect height for her and also her booster seat snaps onto it great.
A few other things we love about our kitchen. We love the open concept. I love that I can be cooking in the kitchen and be around others or around the girls so I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything. I love the open sleeving in our kitchen to create a more casual feel and also be part of the design. They also store a lot of my plates :) The color of the cabinets and walls is Alabaster White by Benjamin Moore and we did our back splash in a ceramic white subway tile and did the tile all the way up to the ceiling. The kitchen island is Cape May Cobblestone by Benjamin Moore. All hardware is by Emtek. Lighting is all from Circa Lighting.
I hope this answers all your kitchen questions and provides a little inspiration if you are building or renovating or simply just want to fluff your space then these stools from Serena and Lily should be your purchase.
A few other Serena and Lily pieces I am currently eyeing. Just purchased these sheets for Mignonne’s Big Girl Bed, really love these scalloped side tables, and I am constantly looking at their bedding. We also own lots of their outdoor pillows, three years later they still look great. This is the table I recently shared, can’t go wrong with these clean lines and simplicity, perfect for our dining area. I also use this cotton throw every single day and it can be washed in the washing machine too. Safe to say we love all of our Serena and Lily pieces. Happy Monday!!
