Bunny Ear Floral Crowns

Hooray for my very first blog post! This was a long time coming and I am so glad you are here. My name is Caroline and I have a passion for making things. This passion began long ago, I would say even before I was born. It runs in the family for sure. I grew up with my Mom making everything for my siblings and I, from decorated cookies for school to hand made smocked clothes and pretty much anything in between. She also threw the most fabulous birthday parties! There are those sayings “Like Mother, Like Daughter” and “What goes around, comes around” and that holds true for my mother and I. I’ve been creative my whole life but it definitely has come full circle now that I am a Mom to a sweet baby girl, Mignonne.

Since Mignonne was born, I have been planning her first birthday party. She isn’t even one yet! I love planning, as you all know which brings me to Sweet Caroline Designs. I began Sweet Caroline Designs about 8 years ago fresh out of college and I was designing fabulous invitations for all types of soirees. After many years of designing, I decided to take a slight break from custom work and pursue my own venture of wholesale. My very first product was a planner because I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something simple but also filled with colorful illustrations. The planners have been a huge success and have helped me grow my business. Now I design not only planners but also fun desk accessories and gifts. After almost 2 years of going wholesale and after the birth of Mignonne, I realized there was a need for cute, unique invitations so I decided to bring the custom line back. I may be old fashioned but I LOVE paper and snail mail. There is something to be said about opening that beautiful invitation or thank you note in the mail. The invitation always sets the tone of the party in my opinion.

Party planning, DIYs, invitations and planners all go hand in hand so that is why I decided to start this blog. Let’s be honest, I am not a short and sweet kinda girl, I’m very wordy so I needed a place to elaborate on my creations! My mind is constantly ticking and I thought it would be fun to have a place where I can share my ideas. I love crafts, baking, flowers (lots of flowers) and balloons. I also love tablescapes. I hope this blog helps you plan your next event or gives you ideas which brings me to my first project! Bunny Ear Floral Crowns. With springtime quickly approaching and Easter around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make these adorable crowns. So here goes nothing!

Materials Needed

- Flowers (I used faux flowers) but you can always use real ones. I just wanted mine to last and make in advance. About 6 different types suggested. I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby. Also smaller flowers work best!
- Floral Wire
- Floral Tape
- Floral Clippers
- Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue
- Ribbon
- Felt (Light pink and cream for bunny ears)

I hope you enjoyed my first post and I would love to see your beautiful creations. Please tag me in your posts or send me pictures of your bunny floral crowns.

Happy Spring, friends!
